Time to get back to work~

I had the best time giving away book one in my Bloodbreeders series this past week. There are no words for how I feel about the new peeps that either followed my blog or one of my other sites since this special began...and are now what I like to call members of the BB crew. ; )  If ever the crew gets to where we can...I will open a member type site just for Bloodbreeders. Savannah Rayne gave me that idea. ; )

Anyway...I have a book to complete and season two to write and I still have to complete two short reads. *Ugh* I so forgot about those..LOL Today starts my goal of getting it all done and out of the way. ~We shall see how well that goes~ ; )

Had to say 'Thank You' to all who picked up my Bloodbreeders books, one or two...Or to those who took the time to share this with your peeps. Great big hugs to you all for doing that and I truly hope you enjoy my dark fantasy. And of course, The new kids on the block! ; )

My first script writing job..........

Hi all....

I thought it was time to share what I am doing!

Someone saw that I share others a great deal and thought they would share something with me. Due to my writing a story about Zombies I was given the name of a production company that was looking for writers. It seems that this little story of mine caught the eye of one of their friends and it got me in the door so to speak.

After writing them and sending them, not a script teaser, but a piece of the story, I was sent a little something to sign, then a few emails later was given the okay to write seasons one and two of a production in the making that will go along with the movie that is already being filmed. I am indeed writing those two parts from my story, only starting off before my book begins and working my way into the tale itself.

This is my first time to write a script and I have been doing my homework. I went so far as to research those who have been doing screenwriting for years. I was able to get intouch with one of the best...Paul Cooper...who in-turn sent me a mini course in screenwriting with other avenues to help me in my new adventure, and all because he was a very nice man and wished me well. : ) Very exciting to say the lease.

If I write these scripts well, and they are enjoyed by the production company, I will sign another contract and my work will go into film. No matter the out-come...other than the birth of my child and grandchildren, and becoming a published author...this is by far the most exciting thing I have ever done!!!

I will be studying all day and have been for the last few days....and either tonight or starting tomorrow, I will sit here and write season one 'Before it Happened' my very first script. No way could I have just jumped in not knowing as much as I could...it is truly night and day different from writing a novel.

I will keep you all informed on how things are going. And will give you more info on the company and the story that brought this all to life as soon as I can ; ) I can tell you this...the story is under contract with Hellfire Publishing and I could not be more proud of that fact~~~

So proud of this little story! It all came about while having fun on a Facebook party held by Hellfire Publishing's boss Dawn Binkley and her dear friend Savannah Rayne...who are both very good friends of mine. We chatted and laughed about many things that day and it brought this creation to my mind. The mind of the one who is known as the warped one..LOL I might add that there were many at that party and all putting their input in. ; )

Please Welcome Guest Author A. L. McBee

A. L. McBee is Hellfire Publishing's youngest author, who turned 6 years old at the end of 2011. Her first co-authored book is being released in April. She is also going to be having her very first ever interview on the Herald very soon. Today we are sharing a little about her world and the world of her Toodlegnomes.

Ms. McBee was two and a half when she first discovered her Toodlegnomes along with the dreaded Bumble Bee Dragons, who have learned of the magic Crystals that keep the Village of the Toodlegnome's alive. And the one they want the most is the one that keeps all natural color in the world of the tiny beings. The Multi-colored Crystal, controls every flower, vegetable and vine that grows in and around the Village.  This is where the adventure begins.

She saw a Dragon-fly when we were on vacation at the lake and right away called it a Bumble Bee Dragon...and it stuck. Her pup was named Toodles and well, one day Toodlegnome came out her mouth and we had our Village dwellers. The next summer we had plastic swords and was up after everyone else went to bed, out running up and down the sidewalk by our Cabana, fighting the horrid Bumble Bee Dragons, trying to take back the stolen Crystals..LOL Yep, we really did this and we did it every summer until she was four and a half...talking and continuing our adventure throughout the year, waiting until we would have our next vacation, back at the lake in Texas.

Soon she was finding all sorts of bugs and giving them new names...like the Bell Beetles and Purple Murples...and believe me there are many more.

This is not a picture book, it's a long children's tale that is about 60 pages long, and will be a running series for as long as the grands enjoy writing about their Toodlegnomes and I say their, because the youngest is now old enough to really enjoy the adventure that her older sister and I have been on for the last four years. ; )

A cute thing that A. L. McBee did yesterday. She set down and started writing by hand another book, then stopped for a bit and began drawing on another page. Her mommy came in and asked what she was doing. "I'm writing another story, only this time im not just the author, I'm also the illustrater." Excerpt from book one: Living in Darkness


When I awoke, the four of them were in what seemed to be a heavy discussion. I could tell it was about Martin and me, because the instant they noticed I was awake, the conversation stopped and they all turned my direction.
“Oh, you’re awake. How does your arm feel?” Rebecca asked.
“It’s better, thank you. Um, is there a problem?” I asked, looking from her to the men.
“No, everything is fine. We just had a small disagreement, it’s nothing to worry yourself about,” she said.

I didn’t know what was going on, but I wasn’t about to ask in the presence of the three men. I just wanted to be gone from here. I knew Martin was already looking for me, I could feel it. Even if he wasn’t I knew it wouldn’t be long until he was.

“So, where do we go from here? Did ya’ll find a car?” I asked.

“Yes,” Rebecca answered. “Ronny has one ready outside.”

“Then can we leave? He’s looking for me, I know it,” I said.

Omar looked at Rebecca and gave her a small smile, one you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking straight at him. I didn’t try to question his antics; I just got up and started for the stairs. I didn’t have any intention of having a conversation with the likes of Omar, even if I did want to know what that little smirk was all about. He made my skin crawl the first time he opened his mouth, and has had my nerves on edge ever since.

We all loaded in the vehicle, and traveled throughout the night, stopping only to steal gas. No one spoke much, though Rebecca asked how I was several times. Along our way, we found abandoned houses to seek refuge from the day, even staying in a cramped little crypt in a rundown cemetery. We were usually crowded, but once the sun came up, it didn’t really matter where we slept. The days and nights passed uneventfully. On the fourth night as we were huddled in a dank cellar, the pain in my stomach returned with a vengeance.

“She needs to feed. We don’t need her weak,” Omar told Rebecca.

“No!” I cried out. “I won’t hurt another person, I can’t.”

Omar opened his mouth as if to say something, but Rebecca grabbed his arm.

“We will teach her to feed without taking life. That is Martin’s way, not ours,” she said looking at me. “We can show you how to survive without causing harm to a normal. Even animals can serve us well.”

I thought about it for a moment before agreeing. “Ok, then I’ll feed. I don’t want to slow us down, and give that bastard a chance to catch up. I would rather die than go back with him,” I said.

I knew that was only part truth. Despite everything, I missed him, or at least some part of me did. The other part wanted his neck hanging from a noose. I could still feel the kiss…our last kiss. How could I have been so stupid? How could I have thought it was real? Just another of his tricks, I told myself. The neigh of a goat brought me back to reality. I looked up the cellar stairs to see Ronny and Marcos peering down with a brown and white goat between them.

“Anyone ready for breakfast?” Marcos laughed.

The rest of us made our way up, and when we surfaced, Ronny pulled out a blade like I had never seen. “What are you going to do with that?” I asked.

“It’s better to get the blood flowing than trying to bite,” he winked. “They‘re to dirty for my taste, if you get my meaning.”

“Oh, I see...”

“I prefer the blood of a normal,” Omar interrupted. “This is beneath me,” he said disgustedly.

“Shut up, Omar,” Rebecca demanded angrily. “You know this is our way now.”

Omar puffed out his chest, but didn’t say another word. It was obvious he had more to say, but her look stopped him before he could open his mouth. Instead, he clenched his jaws, and left the room. Marcos, with a tin cup in hand, looked to Ronny who then sliced through the goat’s throat. The gurgling noises that followed were enough to make me want to leave the room as well, but I stayed where I was.

Marcos filled the cup to the top and handed it to me.

“Ladies first,” he said.

I took it, sloshing the blood causing it to run down the side of the cup and over my fingers. I licked my lips and reluctantly took a sip. The taste was wonderful. I gulped down the viscous fluid, trying not to leave a single drop. The pain was gone the moment the blood hit my stomach. I handed Marcos the cup and greedily licked my fingers clean, as I thanked them in-between the very un-lady like spectacle. When everyone had, had their share, we were off again.

“We will reach the ocean sometime tonight,” Rebecca said. “Then the real journey will begin.”

The demon opened its lipless mouth and screamed, throwing black, foul smelling slime all over Jade’s face. She turned her head and kicked out, hitting the disgusting being in its midsection. As it doubled over, Jade brought her blade down on the back of its deformed head. The creature dropped to the ground as the silver orb sank back into the sidewalk. The demon’s corpse turned to ash and blew away with the rest of the garbage. Jade gathered herself, knowing the son of sin wouldn’t be far behind.

“Hey lady, you lookin’ for a good time?” a slender, young boy asked.

“Not from you, little boy. You are no more than a mouth full.”

“I’ll do anything you want, and I’ll do it for a twenty.”

“Go home,” she snapped.

“I am home, lady. You won’t find anything better out here. I’ll do you for ten.”

“Get the hell away from me, kid. You do not want to taste my pleasures.” Jade pushed him with more force than she meant to use, knocking him to the ground.

As Jade walked away from the filth incrusted boy, she reached into her pocket, then threw a fifty at him. Seeing a child on the streets was no concern of a she devil like Jade, not even in the worst of situations. Or so she thought. She looked back to see three older boy’s kicking the one who propositioned her just moments before and taking the money she had given him. She smiled and shook her head. Jabbering about Wings and Passion

Jabbering about Wings and Passion: My first erotica write. ; )

I never thought writing in a new genre could be either, so fun, or so confusing. Who would think that a woman kissing 50, with grandchildren would be gripping at straws where her characters love making is concerned. In my 'Wings and Passion' I am trying to up the ante in the 'getting it on' scenes. I have plenty of love making in all of my paranormal romance reads, but all would rank low on the erotica scale. Yes, they have all the pleasures that are meant to be had, but nothing in the way that a truly erotica read needs, to relate to the readers....that it's so hot that you don't want to pass it by!

Telling of story that is filled with fantasy, where two beings from different worlds, connect and fall into a love that is unheard of. Having the characters come to life and engage the reader to want to know more about them is something else that I love creating. be it in my worlds of horror, or my worlds of fantasy romance. I guess I have this little line that I'm having a hard jumping across, when writing about the ways that my characters move in the sack, or on the table, or the washer, or even the stove top. I don't want to offend, but I also don't want to walk on egg shells. I have this hungry need and want to step into this 'Erotica' genre with no worries about what others may think. I've been told several times that my horror and suspense is far to graphic...if my erotica is anything like my other writings it may be off the wall, or thrown under the bed..LOL.

 I do know that Wings and Passion, will be twisted with my love of intrigue...putting my characters in harms way at every turn. I guess that's about all that I have to jabber about on this for right now, anyway. I have been doing a great amount of research on killer site of Author's that rule the world of erotica writing and I have to shout out a huge thank you to all those who share!
