Sharing a few photos of the 2012 Undead Con Conference and Anne Rice Wolf Gift Ball
I had a blast at the Anne Rice Wolf Gift Ball and the Undead Con in New Orleans this year! 2012 held by the ARVLFC with the very amazing Suzie Q...
I cannot tell you how many people in my family does not believe me when I tell them how old this woman is...because she looks 20 years younger and I have yet to find out her secret. ; ) She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!
Collie James, author of: The Forgotten is also an actor and one of the coolest people that I have ever met. We were on the Undead Con Conference Panel together and it absolutely ROCKED!!!
I was like "WOW" it's Lewis Aleman!!! He signed a book for my daughter and I was all super happy..LOL And so was Kysha when she got it. He is the author of The Anti-Vampire Tale...and he was just soooooo nice!!!!
I was so happy to see Jyl again this year...She is one of the coolest chicks I have ever met and is always so pleasant to be around. I think she is beautiful and makes one hell of an intriguing Vampire! Those who follow my site have seen her photos up from last years Ball.
OMGoodness...I met THE Allan Gilbreath of Kerlak Publishing and who is an author himself. We signed a book for each other and I was doing my Snoopy dance. But when I first found out who he was it was hard to let go of his hand..LOL *Blush* I think we hit it off and I will be sending him a piece of my work to check out. I told him I would be getting my foot in the door. ; ) And he told me to send it in!!! WooHoo!!!
My table at the Undead Con!
Some truly wickedly wonderful ladies at the Ball~ And they all look amazing!
Two of my very best friends: Author Christie Silvers to the left and Tammy Heidenheimer to the right...Tammy has been my best friend since we were in the third grade and she is always there when I need her. Christie is my inspiration and has been since the first year that I became a writer... and I was so proud to see her in New Orleans!!!
Just some really great pics of the Ball and the peeps that had some amazingly rockin' outfits on...There was no way that I could have picked a favorite~ The two things that look like red eyes glowing...is really red horns on this guys head..LOL Way cool!
Just some more amazing outfits at the Ball...Everyone was having a great time and the Bands were out-standing!!!
Peace out..LOL I will be sharing a whole lot more photos when they are sent to me. I have pics of the owners of Savage Light Studios, and info about what they have going on right now. I have some fun photos of the 'Meet and Greet' on the boat...and then just some goofy ones of me getting ready to go have fun with everything that Sue and Cher had planned for us.
I am so grateful to once again be apart of something so wonderful as the events held in New Orleans by the ARVLFC...This year was over the top! I hope to be able to go back for years to come and always donate my work for the good that they do with the raffle funds.
Happy Hallow's Eve and Big Hugs~
Happy Halloween~

I took most of these photos from the VIP area upstairs, where Christie Silvers, Tim her husband, and her sister and her hubby....along with Tammy and a few of my peeps, Dale Morgan and Tommy Morgan, had our drinks...and who came to show me their support and that just rocked my world. It is always good to see family and friends go that extra mile to be there. And some of them drove over 15 hours to get there. : ) Many thanks to them all!!!
Saints of Ruin had the people going wild with their music!!!
People watching the band while I was taking pics of them..LOL
Tammy and Dav at the Ball. She saw him and had to have her photo taken with him. I thought he looked really cool as well!!!

Halloween Giveaway
Yep, that's right...I am giving away two sets: of book one and two in print to two lucky winners on Halloween Day! I will be heading to New Orleans to the Undead Con and the Anne Rice Ball and I will be taking these two books with me. I have been invited to be on the panel at the Undead Con Conference on Saturday 27th and I will also be doing a book signing.
All you have to do to get in the drawing is hit up this post and let me know that you want in and I will add your name to the Halloween Hat.
Not once in her life did farm girl Renee Crocker, imagine she would encounter a world found only in the minds of myth-seeking men. Although the things they sought were not always unheard of in the 1930’s in other parts of the world, life was just too harsh in the small Texas community, to pay mind to anything other than raising a healthy crop to ensure the survival of one’s family. But late one evening during supper, a stranger comes knocking on the door of the Crocker family farm house and is invited inside.
It doesn’t take long for Renee to discover a great number of things that people in her neck of the woods couldn’t even contemplate. The dark of night takes on a whole new meaning, and the once vulnerable young country woman finds herself struggling to survive in a world that demands she live forever in darkness.
Reviews:
This book is about a farm girl named Renee Crocker who is changed into a creature of the night by a stranger who visited their farm. Renee, being recently changed is quite naive of their ways, but she is also headstrong and brave.
This is not one of those books that you read when something almost happens to someone and then they suddenly get away or they are all the sudden saved before the bad thing happens. Believe me, bad things happen in this book. There were so many times when I found myself cringing in expectation even as I turned the pages anxiously.
Robin Renee Ray takes you on a journey with Renee Crocker and makes you feel like you are right there with Renee. I really liked the storyline and how her vampires are a bit different from your average that you read about. In this book though, the word vampire isn't found anywhere. So I will say creatures of the night.
However, as much as I enjoyed the story I was quite upset when I got to the last page. It's freaking wide open for the next book. I mean there is no way this book is a stand alone because there will be another one. There has to be! When the next in the Bloodbreeders series comes out I will be one of the first in line to see if Renee gets what she is after.
This was a really great book. I was sucked into the plot just from the prologue and couldn't wait to get started. And once I started the book, I couldn't put it down! It takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride..you laugh ..you cry..your heart breaks, then bleeds and finally starts getting put back together again. Robin Renee does a great job of creating a whole new world of vampires for readers to get lost in! Ann Rice fans need to point their radar this way!
As soon as i started reading Living in Darkness i knew i wouldn't be able to put it down. I felt so bad for Renee and everything she had to endure that i just couldn't wait to get into The Revenge knowing by just the name of the book that Renee would come back and set all wrongs in that part of her world right not just for her but for everyone who has a ever suffered from the same fate that she has.
Robin Renee Ray ROCKS!! I love what she has created in these books. Her characters are so wonderfully written you can't help falling in love with the heroes and truly hating the villains. I wanted to dive into the book and do something to help. lol I screamed at the book and cried right along side Renee. It's a very dark story but also a very powerful story of bravery and survival. If you haven't already picked up your copies of the books you should they are amazing reads and you won't be disappointed.
Another exciting adventure with Renee and her crew/family of
Bloodbreeders. This time it's revenge against her perverted captors in book 1
that fuels her passion. Renee knows how to get the job done. I'm looking forward
to more from the Bloodbreeders series.

When I first began Bloodbreeders: Living in Darkness I really
didn't know what to expect. I sat down to read it and the first forty pages or
so I read at a normal pace, after that I could barely put it down. I even read
the darn thing while I was walking on my treadmill!

Robin Renee takes us on a dazzling journey through the growth
of the recently turned vampire Renee Crocker. Leading a sheltered life on a
small farm, Renee was unprepared for the beautiful stranger that showed up at
her parents house. It wasn't uncommon for people to stop by for a few days or
even stay on a whole season to work the fields. Her father never turned anyone
away and had a bunk house set up for travelers. But in her 26 years of life, no
one had ever stirred anything in her like Martin.
Dressed in a suit, unlike most
of the travelers, he shows up one night just as the family is sitting down for
dinner. He politely declines the invitation to dinner only wishing to rest for
the night. Renee is sent to the bunkhouse to bring him a plate and some
blankets. She is hypnotized by his presence and stutters nervously as she hands
him the items with a blush developing on her cheeks. Martin is enchanted and
recalls what brought him here in the first place. He has big plans for this
small town beauty. Its just too bad he can't tell her til after hes
done.
This was a really great book. I was sucked into the plot just from the prologue and couldn't wait to get started. And once I started the book, I couldn't put it down! Renee thought she had gone through the worse nightmare that any being could
possibly dream up; little did she know that her adventure had just begun. Her
intentions were to go back to Cuba and fulfill a promise made to the two that
helped her escape the unbelievable hell that had become her life from the days
of loving care back on the farm.
What she finds changes her destiny and places her path on one that was only found in the mind and tales of the ancient profits. Of course, the question remains, will she be able to fulfill the needs that have taken hold of what little heart she had left? Can the faith of a country girl with the help of those who would follow her into hell itself be enough, or will they find themselves in a situation that they cannot get out of?

If your looking for another vampire love story you have come
to the wrong books. These ARE NOT the fun, romantic, or happily ever after books
that everyone loves to read. They are about the horrible and demented side of
the vampire community. They are about human (vampire) trafficking, sex slaves,
torture to the sickest extent in the vampire world and Renee Crocker the girl
who decided to take it all down. Along the way she finds the family she needs
help her in her personal quest as well as fill the void of the one she left in
her old human life.

Book 3 will be coming soon...I will be heading to the place where it all began and the Bloodbreeders came to life, Burkett Texas to write book 5 very soon. I will be writing two swing books about two of the main characters, Jacob and Martin (Marteen) as well... they are my favorites and both have a very interesting story to tell. I truly thought the main books would end with 5 books but I believe the series will flow over into several more other than the swing books, and I look very forward to creating them.
I will post the winners name right here on my blog Halloween night...Please feel free to leave me your email addy with your comment~

OUT in Print!!! WOOHOO......
The Tale of Two Toodlegnomes....
From the imagination of a small child and put together by her grandma!!! This is a long children's action adventure, mini-series...which when I ask the grand how many books she thought we would end up with, she replied "About fifteen!" LOL She is now 6 years old. ; )
She will be doing her first book signing this fall in our home town and she is very excited. We started working on this when she was just 2 and a half while on vacation, and grandma put it together when she was five. To her it is a brand new adventure even though she remembers pretending to fight the Bumble Bee Dragons with our little plastic swords and creating the Purple Murples when she first saw a Dragonfly..LOL We now have new swords and have started our new adventure in finding the home of the dreaded Queen of the Bumble Bee Dragons which she named after seeing a huge Bumble Bee.
In this 38 page tale there are creatures of all kinds, from horrid spiders that tower over the tiny Toodlegnomes who live in the magical forest to the slimy Gordilines that she named after playing with a fat worm. In book two she told me we would have to have a Mole that would dig a tunnel for the two toodlegnomes because the Queen Bumble Bee Dragon lived in a honey-comb castle and they had to find a way in from under so they wouldn't be seen and captured. I love how she thinks!
You can find this wonderful read at amazon and soon other sites where you can get it with her autograph. She is published through Hellfire Publishing, their first children's book and their youngest!

In time we will be looking into sending this tale to Pixar and are now looking into ways to do so....If you do pick up this story up we would love your input and a review. Believe me...A.L. Mcbee reads everything that anyone says about her little books...good or bad. Grandma has always told her the bad can be as good as the good and to never let it get her down. ; )
Have a most wonderful day!

Ever Feel Like You Are Lost in the Crowd?
Hi all.....
Things have been so crazy that I haven't had, or wanted to give my laptop the time of day for almost two months...but now that all is calming down, it is time to get back on track. I have loads of work to do, stories to create that are banging around in my brain, blogs to make look more up to date, friends to re-connect with...and more promo work than I care to think about. NOW I am finally understanding what all of you pros have to deal with!
I lost my Hero, the greatest man I had and will ever meet on July 19, Lt. Col. Darel M. Ray. But I can hear him telling me to get my butt in gear and hit it hard!
I had planned on doing the Summer Bash Giveaway, but it looks like it will be a Fall Bash Giveaway..LOL One can never help the happenings of life, and it truly hit us hard. I haven't done any promo on any of my books and it shows in the rankings. With an angel like Dad, I think things will be turning aroung...if anyone had faith in this old drop-out making it out in this big ole world...this man sure did. ; ) And the one thing that I do not want to do is let him down!!!
I hope you all have the best day ever! Now that things have kind of sort of calmed, you should be seeing me a whole lot more. I will be (doing my best) to make this blog more inviting! But most know my love of writing revolves around horror...so it may go back to looking a bit spooky...LOL
Well, have the best whatever and I will be back tomorrow...May God Bless you all in the ways you need it the most!!!
Big Hugs and Many Thanks to those who have taken the time to stop by a see my cob-web site. ; ) It will get better soon....I hope! Then maybe I will feel like one of the gang again??? Then again I do very much enjoy being a reclusive person..LOL

In Honor of: Lt. Col. Darel M. Ray (Retired)
It truly has been a very long month, then some. My poor dad/father-in-law faught for his life, battling cancer for two years. Phenomena finally knocking him down to a point that he couldn't get back up and took his last breath. Lt. Col. Darel M. Ray (Retired) lost his biggest fight on the evening of July the 19th. 2012...Of sound mind to the very end, this GREAT man without complaint, took a silent breath and slipped past those who stood around his hospital bed. Not as much as a slight twitch to show he had made his final departure. The ladies praying, his sons glancing around, gloom on their brows with dismay locked in their thoughts.
It took a full week to complete the cremation due to the Military paper work that had to be filed...along with several others. The Funeral was beautiful...
Born Oct. 20th, 1933 Died July. 19th, 2012
Darel's life career began by attending the University of Oklahoma on an athletic scholarship, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1960. He later earned his master's degree from Webster University.
His military career began with the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served two years. He later joined the U.S. Air Force, where he enjoyed a prestigious career as a field maintenance commander serving three isolated tours in Vietnam. He was officer in charge of the Thunderbird crash investigative team in Nevada and was a military adviser to Saudi Arabia.
He was recognized with numerous awards and medals, including the Bronze Star Medal, FTD Commander of the Year and the Meritorious Service Award. He was a Roman Catholic convert active in religious instruction and member of several committees. Darel was a member of the 1956 national champion Oklahoma Sooners football team and was awarded a game ball from the 1959 Orange Bowl.
He was also a Division I college quarterback coach at the University of Oklahoma, Baylor University and Arizona State University.
His interests included football, thoroughbred race horses, classic cars, gold panning with lifelong friend Don Marr, pool, model trains, guns and he loved to go to garage sales.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mabel L. Ray; sons Darel Duane Ray, of Ruidoso, David Ray and wife, Robin, of Eunice, and Dennis Ray, of Alamogordo; five grandchildren, Darel Duane Jr. (D.J.) and wife, Angie, of Medford, Ore., Kysha McBee and husband, Robby, of Eunice, Jordan Ray, of Ruidoso, and Brittany and Denise Ray, of Alamogordo; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Kyron, Akasha, Shya and Carson; and sisters-in-law Terrie Ray, JoAnn Marrujo and Lilly Aguilar.
He will be forever missed...and forever Loved!!!

Blurb:
Past memories can be wonderful, but sometimes sad for Corinne. Her world
was rocked by the seemingly senseless tragic murder of a close and lifelong
friend. The murder drastically altered the trajectory of her life as a gifted
medical professional. Overwhelmed by the loss, she was determined to make
it her mission to help bring to justice those responsible for her best friend's death.
As fate would have it, the Sheriff's Deputy first on the scene was an acquaintance of Corinne's. The crime scene at the victim's apartment was suspiciously clean with no evidence of a break in. With the crime scene wiped clean of any fingerprints, the best hope of solving this crime now rest on the meager forensic evidence.
The Deputy and Corinne join forces to solve this shocking crime. However, the entire focus of the case changed when the deputy's partner revealed a secret about the victim. His revelation led to a major complication in the case.
Was the victim reaching out from the grave leading Corinne in the right direction or was the trauma of her close friend's death playing tricks with her imagination?

Robin: Being a Texan, what made you pick the Santa
Fe as the key to your story?
Ellen: Robin, I’m an adopted Texan, but I do
call Texas my home. My husband Carey and I visited
the city several times and fell in love with its ambiance and I thought what
fun it would be to write a story using Santa Fe as the setting.
Robin: I know you moved to a new company with your books,
can you tell us a bit about that?
Ellen: more
personalized service and I am treated with respect and admiration.
Robin: Now for your new release…and might I say: I LOVE the
cover on Private Honor. Would you please give us a little of the background on
this story?
Ellen: I wanted to
challenge myself and write 1st person as a male and the story just
came to me. And let me tell you it’s been a blast.
Blurb: Nash Brody, a Dallas Police Captain
suffers a traumatic career ending injury. His first day back on the job a close
friend is murdered and Nash becomes obsessively compelled to yet pursue the
case on his own, becoming a matter of private honor for him to solve the crime
and landing his dream job as a private investigator.
It is with this
new career that Nash is taken on an incredible journey of self awareness and
revere.
Robin: Does either Santa Fe Son or Private Honor have a
sequel in the works and if not, can you tell us what we can look for from you
in the future?
Ellen: Private Honor does
it’s called The Angel Wore Black. I’m sure down the road I will do a sequel to Santa Fe Son it would be neat to see where I could
take those characters. I also have some past novels my publisher and I are
going to rerelease. I have written for three upcoming anthologies and have
ideas for more mysteries.
Robin: What are the genres that you work in and have you
ever thought about jumping into a genre that you have never written in before?
Ellen: mostly murder
mystery with a touch of romance, I did write a ghost story and some poetry
recently and enjoyed branching out, also Science Fiction is an interest for me.
Robin: Where do you get your inspiration from, Ellen?
Ellen: from several
different genre’s of music depending on my mood, I especially like Celtic new
age and smooth jazz.
Robin: Is there any advice that you can give aspiring authors who
are just starting out and think they can not do this?
Ellen: writing is not
only putting words on paper it is a creative process and with perseverance and
passion follow your dream, it is something you put your all into.
Robin: Ellen, this has been so much fun and I just love getting to
know you better. I have to ask…Will you
come back again when your new book is released? I know I will want to know
more. ;)
Ellen: of course I
would love to.
Robin: Last but not lease, can you give us a little info about, The
Angel Wore Black?
Ellen: sure I would
be happy to.
Blurb: The Caribbean held captive what was dearest to
him…his daughter.
His only choice was to go there and rescue her. An undertaking filled with mystery and danger. Finding her was only the beginning journey for Nash Brody.

Nothing in all of his training could have prepared him for what he was to encounter, but determination and strong faith sustained him. The Angel Wore Black at least his daughter saw him that way. Living up to her expectations was a task designed and custom fit for him.
